I'm pleased to say that my design sketches have been accepted at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art for their new exhibition First Traces.

This exhibition of first conceptions represents artists working in a wide range of media and includes anything from traditional sketchbooks to digital drawings, and in my case to the finished product, which are my Memory Keepers (listed here on my website).

If you are in the Rockport, Maine area October 30th, 2008, please join me and the other artists at the opening reception. The exhibition runs from October 31—December 20, 2008. CMCA is located at 162 Russell Ave., Rockport, ME. For more info go to their website: www.cmcanow.org

I also want to announce the November opening of the new Center for Maine Craft, 24 Service Drive in West Gardiner. This is going to be a very beautiful gallery that will feature handcrafted furniture, textiles, fine jewelry, hand-blown glassware, books and more.

Through a very exhaustive jury selection, the Maine Crafts Association has chosen work by the finest craftspeople and artists Maine has to offer. The gallery will provide a wonderful venue, and I am very proud to have been selected to participate. What an honor to be in such great company!
